hello, I'm new to open source contribution. Can I try to fix this issue ?
Hi @nitishsaini706 Can you explain in more detail what you would like to happen? What would the user see when they hover the search bar? How would this work on mobile where there is no hover available?
We might want to add other things into the menu bar at a later date - how would that work if the entire menu bar redirects to the search page on click? Is there some other way that the search function could be made clearer?
Sure @emmalearnscode , if you look at the user interface of the app , you'll see this
when user hover and clicks on the such long search bar , nothing happens , first timers wont have any clue why this is not working , as we can only search if we click that search icon . what I suggest is we should update the whole bar that when user hover , they'll be able to search

@emmalearnscode I think the search bar on the homepage should stand alone and not be inside the menu bar. So now, when users search for something, it will redirect them to the search page by filtering the result for them.
@emmalearnscode I think the main confusion with the search function is that, at first glance, it's styled similarly to a whole search bar. @nitishsaini706 wants to eliminate this confusion by styling the whole nav bar as a search bar.
What I would suggest is to just group the search icon to the right with the github version badge and adjust the border styles to make it more evident that this is a whole nav bar. I think this would improve the UI/UX of this homepage.
@aoponcedeleon absolutely agreed to what you just suggested. hey @emmalearnscode can I try to fix what @aoponcedeleon just suggested
Very good suggestions. I don't know if this thread is dead but I'd like to work in this issue if possible.
@emmalearnscode is this issue still active? If yes, I'd like to work on it.
Does anyone is working on this issue, if not I'm interested to work on :)
Hey! This issue is still open, am I free to start working on this?
hey everyone, apologies for my slow reply. The new version of the LinkFree project is out now using NextJS and TailWind
I will close this issue, but please feel free to create a new issue and we can assign it to you
