Only works if "Search Key.app" is active
It works, but only if the "Search Key.app" is running and visible in the dock. Right now i am not sure, what infomrations you could need to address the problem. if i can be of any help, please let me know.
Tested on a German system with 10.15.6 and Safari 13.1.2
This shouldn't happen! Does the toolbar icon disappear when you quit the .app? You can try looking for Console logs for the "Search Key Extension" process to see if it's printing any errors. If nothing is showing up there, you can try restarting Safari or the system, I've had mysterious uninstalls with this and other extensions in the past that went away after a while.
Oh also, you can try the app store version if you haven't already, Safari might be more willing to trust it
