Inventory not saving after set time

I've had this issue for a few days, however, I have just tested it. This is occurring on a world using the gamerule keepInventory true. I have noticed that the inventory does not save after any time set in the config. This is a large issue as it means that me and my brother, playing on the server repeatedly lose items.
