Feature request: Always display input UI (commands) on non-touchscreen platforms
Hi and thanks for EasyRPG Player – it's a great tool I’m using to play RM2k/RM2k3 games on a smart TV.
I noticed that on smartphones, the input interface (buttons for menu, cancel, confirm...) is always visible on screen thanks to the touchscreen UI.
On my smart TV, I'm using the standard remote control that came with it, which has limited input capabilities (no keyboard or full controller support). I'm looking for a way to display the input interface permanently on screen — similar to the mobile version — so the main actions are accessible without needing to press a specific key.
Is there a configuration option, a workaround, or could this be considered as a future feature?
Thanks for your time!
Hi, do you mean the Android App or the Web Player?
The App should always display the Touch UI as there is no setting to configure this.
The Web version hides it when a gamepad is connected or you don't have a touch screen. There is currently no way to toggle this.
Not I mean tizen os...
Not at all !!! I meant web browser on tizen OS on my Samsung TV connected...

Thanks for the clarification!
Yes, I'm referring to a smart TV setup where I'm using the default remote control — no touchscreen, no gamepad, no keyboard. Because of this limited input, accessing basic game functions (like the menu or save option) becomes difficult unless I remember exact key mappings or experiment blindly.
That's why having a way to force the Touch UI to be always visible — even on platforms without touch — would really help users like me. Ideally, a toggle or configuration option could make the interface show up by default on these devices.
Let me know if that could be considered for a future update!
That feature request sounds reasonable.
We will consider implementing it in a future update of EasyRPG Player.
Btw, if the feature comes too late because i got a TV Keyboard for my birthday, it's ok 'cause i'm not the only one who needs that update...
