Panorams with plain colours applied from the editor itself

The other day I was remembering minimalist games (like pom gets wifi and so many others) and I thought that in panorama backgrounds, maybe importing a 320x240 image of a purely plain colour could be wasteful, how would you see adding an option in the maps when right clicking and configuring the Panorama? Like a typical colour picker.

PS: It could probably be done even for gradients, but here I'm already overcomplicating the proposal.
