Recreating Partition

Can you give better steps to create the partition? When I try to expand the 2nd one I am no longer able to boot or get journal errors.

fdisk /dev/mmcblk0 d 2 n 2 p (verify 2 is linux 83 if not then hit c 83) w - ignore alerts reboot resize2fs /dev/mmcblk0p2
