If possible, allow for the removal of IR touch pad if desired. This would allow the controls to take up the screen in a more comfortable position. And Especially if using a true motion pointer, which could be interfered with the IR touch pad via a misplaced touch. This wouldn't mean the pad would be actually removed, just deactivated if desired.
