window not transparent when not selected

this just started happening today. as soon as the window isn't in focus, vibrancy stops working. any fixes?

Looking for a way to accomplish this as well. The CSS doesn't specify any rules for when its out of focus. I wonder if there's some default css from the theme that does. I'm trying to figure out how I even inspect VSCode to see the original css. Maybe I can override another rule to get the affect we want.
