Cannot copy ASCII data

Save data to file via regular text editor:

After opening the file created above, it is possible to see the ASCII data, but it is not possible to copy, only the data in HEX format is copied.

I think this is not you wanted.

I copy from wxHexEditor ascii view to gedit text editor.

But if I create that file at HEX editor, than yes there are ASCII characters but there are also null characters. And clipboard doesn't like null characters. Should hex editor copy them anyway? Does clipboard support it? I don't think so.
