Met Office Datahub to replace Datapoint

Apologies if you already know and actions are planned (or not). When looking at APIs on Met Office site I saw this undated notice https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/services/data/datapoint/notifications/weather-datahub which includes: "We have now taken our first steps towards launching our new Met Office Weather DataHub service. This API data channel will ultimately become the single point of access for all Met Office Public Task weather data, replacing both Met Office DataPoint and our Wholesale Data Services."

and "Met Office DataPoint closure

This marks the first step in replacing the existing Met Office DataPoint service. A formal switch off date is yet to be agreed. Users will be notified well in advance."

I did not know this, thanks for letting me know! I will need to have a look through the documentation for the new API and decide what to do.
