so on 2 pictures you have up showing the pins, on 1 it has them labeled differently than the other but its the same mainboard. the top being the skinnier part of the board you have the 4 pins labeled 3v, swclk, gnd, swdio. but the other its 3v, swclk, swdio, gnd. since no labels on board do they line up with their correct pin on st link?

If you have a multi-meter you can measure what pin has ground on it (for example measure continuity between the battery minus and the ground pin, or just see what 2 pins give you 3.3v when the board is on), then you know what ground pin to use.

If possible I recommend powering the board from its own charger so that you don't need to connect the 3.3v from your laptop. If you can't connect, switch the cables around on swclk, gnd and swdio until it works :)
