[Bug]: installer does not work on M7350 V4.0

What happened?

The installer hangs here after I login, I used default username and password

Expected behavior

Expected behaviour is the installer finishing with running.

i got a v4 to test, and it seems this issue can only be reproduced with a very recent firmware such as M7350(EU)_V4_220606. it's possible that downgrading (if it's safe to do at all) can work around this. https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/m7350/v4/#Firmware

can confirm that downgrading from 220606 to 181220 works around this issue, at least the device still boots after downgrade and the rayhunter green bar shows up. after the installation the device can be upgraded again. known-good firmware download link:

yep exactly. i haven't tested the device extensively to see if downgrading breaks anything -- wifi works, and it boots, that's it

Don't worry, you can downgrade, install and upgrade freely, i have done it hundreds of times while creating my own installer and had no problems, don't worry as long as you use the correct recovery for v4 there will be no problems
