I am unable to check out on home depot

What is your browser and browser version?

Chrome Version 121.0.6167.162 (Official Build) (64-bit)

What is broken and where?

The check out process and when it click place order it blocks my order

Hello and thanks for opening an issue!

Could you describe what you mean by "it blocks my order" a bit more? Is the "Place order" button disabled, or is there an error message, or something else?

What steps should I follow if I wanted to see this problem for myself? For example:

  1. Visit a product listing
  2. Select "Delivery"
  3. Click "Add to Cart"
  4. Click "Checkout" (not PayPal Checkout)
  5. Sign in
  6. ...

  3. fill shipping info 10)fill out card info(i am using vcc)
  4. place order
  5. its a amex vcc so it sends a safe key to my phone
  6. it says the payment has been declined.

I am not sure why it does that but I think that cardinal Commerce which is the provider for home depot to verify payment process. Thinks i am a bot or a fraud charge. I am trying to online arbitrage.

If you haven't yet already placed the order, or next time you run into this issue, could you submit a couple of broken site reports through Privacy Badger's popup? I would then see which domains were blocked right before and right after the failed purchase.

I think it would be good to send a broken site report right before placing the order, and then again right after having the order fail.

To submit an error report, select the tab or window with the problem, open Privacy Badger's popup, and then click on the "Report broken site" button in the popup.

To open Privacy Badger's popup, click on Privacy Badger's icon on your browser toolbar. If you don't see the icon, it's probably hidden inside the "puzzle piece" icon menu on your browser toolbar.

Did you ever figure out a solution to this issue? I have had the same issue for weeks now and rely on Home Depot to place a large number of orders for my business. Any help is hugely appreciated!

Generally speaking, whenever you run into trouble with Privacy Badger, you can disable PB just on the site with the problem, leaving PB enabled and protecting you everywhere else. To do so, visit the site with the problem, click on PB's icon in your browser toolbar, and then click on the "Disable for this site" button in PB's popup window.

Yes I did this, but it did not really solve the issue. I submitted an error report before placing the order and then after, and was told by Privacy Badger the same thing "that you can disable on one site with the problem and leave it enabled elsewhere etc..." perhaps I am misunderstanding? I did not have privacy badger uploaded prior so it did not seem to solve the issue. Thank you in advance for helping.

Are you saying you disabled Privacy Badger on Target, but order checkout on Target is still broken?

I am not trying to checkout on Target but have no issues doing so. This issue is specific to Home Depot. I am unable to place any orders despite different Credit Cards, different browsers, clearing my cookies on chrome, trying paypal checkout etc. All my cards work elsewhere and I know for 100% certain it is not an issue with my form of payment, but rather something on Home Depots backend must be preventing me from getting purchases through.

Sorry, I meant Home Depot. If you're having trouble checking out, but the problem is not related to Privacy Badger, then sorry, I can't help you. You should get in touch with Home Depot's customer support.
