For the homepage search we originally envisaged that it would search in all languages. However in practice this creates a lot of noise because the European languages are so similar....
This is quite standard in tree views. Otherwise you have to click lots of times to drill down through the hierarchy.
The backend supports searching by any property, e.g. `isDefiningOntology`, but the frontend search doesn't forward these options to the backend.
Ideally when the language is switched, the language of the UI switches as well. That would require localising all of the UI strings.
