Clarify meaning of "maintainers" field

In the PyOBO-generated OWL file for HGNC that is in OLS at https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols4/ontologies/hgnc, I automatically propagate the main contacts for the resource to the maintainers field.

However, the maintainers have contacted me and said that they do not want it to be confused that they are affiliated with the OWL file I have generated / have endorsed it.

Can we please clarify what is the purpose of the maintainers field? Does it point to the person who maintains the OWL file or the person who maintains the database?
