10x has 2 versions of their Flex technology:
- Next GEM Flex:
- Next GEM Flex Multiplex User Guide
- The first original probe based assay, with recommended 8,000 cells targeted per probe barcode and up to 128,000 total cells per channel.
- GEM-X Flex:
- GEM-X Flex Multiplex User Guide
- Redesigned microfluidics that allows for recommended 20,000 cells targeted per probe barcode and up to 320,000 total cells per channel.
Preferred term label
- 10x Next GEM Flex
- 10x GEM-X Flex
Synonyms
- 10x Next GEM Flex: Next GEM Flex
- 10x GEM-X Flex: GEM-X Flex

Will need to reassess what is the best way to distinguish assay versions
