New EFO term request for Spine
General grouping term needed for datasets which don't delineate subsections of spinal data as current EFO terms are too specific.

@ar-ibrahim Would you be able to provide a potential timeline for this term as it is currently one of the barriers for submitting a paper to get it recognised as an official HCA dataset?
Hi @arose20. May you please specify your exact new term request, suggested parent term, synonyms, etc.? If the requested term is to be added to EFO, the next data release is on Feb 17th @JABelfiore.
To meet HCA tier 1 metadata I am asked to provide an UBERON term for each organ (in this case developmental) and spine as an organ is currently missing an UBERON number to represent the spine as a whole.
It could act as the parent term or come under bone or spinal cord potentially but I am wanting to refer to bone and surrounding tissue not just bone or nerves so it having its own is helpful as well.
Subsections of the spine could be child terms to consider. There are a number of UBERON terms currently for subsections of the spine I believe but non to represent the entire spine.

We are unable to create UBERON terms as we can only import them. You can request an UBERON term here: https://github.com/obophenotype/uberon/issues/
Then we will be able to import it once/if it is created.
