To update input files of mam4xx-optics
PR # 2718 added an emaxx interface to invoke MAM4xx aerosol-optics code. Because of two limitations in the emaxx infrastructure (see issues # 2601 and # 2602), we added a time dimension to all fields and renamed the dimension of short and long waves in the original NetCDF input files from E3SMv2; see more details in PR # 2718.
The eamxx team plans to address these limitations; see PR # 2776. After addressing these limitations, we will replace the inputs files of PR # 2718 with the original input files from E3SMv2. In addition, we will augment these input files with band information.
With the band information, emaxx will check if the input files and the EAMxx RRTMGP interface have equal ordering and values of bands.
