I'm sorry, but I don't understand what is not working in your case. Maybe you could provide screenshots that shows what is your problem?
INAV has a programming framework right now. It's not script and it's closer to PLC, but you can write simple programs to control some of the UAV behavior in flight....
The thing is, probably on most popular FCs, there is not enough flash to add any interpreter
I would not say "only". Quick check: F722 and F411 are roughly 30% of all FCs user right now
