Watch 3D behaves weirdly

What did you do?

I want to have my previews turned off in their entirety in a graph - and use 'Watch 3D' nodes to showcase different bits of the Background Preview (To keep a clean graph)

What did you expect to see?

I expected to see the Background Preview turned on in my 'Watch 3D' node as it technically has it's preview turned on. However it seems bound to the previous node.

What did you see instead?

As above in 'What did you do' - the nodes are linked and I don't believe they should be.
