Flagging system for custom nodes, which are not working anymore

Open Thomas84 opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

What improvement/feature would you like to see in Dynamo?

There are some old package which are not maintained anymore. Some nodes are still working and are useful. Maybe these nodes are also reused in other packages. But if you have these packages with some outdated nodes in your library, you will find those nodes through the search which are not working anymore. This is very bad, because I don't want to see this out of date nodes in the definitions

How would you see this improvement/feature working?

Give users a kind of flagging system to mark nodes which are not working anymore. The package creator should have time to reply to this reports. If there is no reply and many power users report the node, it should be flagged as buggy node. There should be a library filter to hide nodes that are flagged as buggy. In addition to the public buggy node flag, it should be possible to have a personal buggy node flag, which overwrites to public one
