Adjusting The Screen Brightness on iMac19,1 Does Not Work

Hello Everyone,

I can't figure out how to adjust the brightness on my iMac19,1. Pressing the brightness keys on the keyboard shows the brightness indicator on Gnome, but the screen itself is still on very high brightness.

I tried following the instructions in the bugzilla comment (from the Screen section), but it looks like that patch does not work any more. Reading further down the comments in that bug report, it seems that the patch is no longer needed.

Trying to manually adjust the brightness seems to do nothing with the screen brightness.

sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/amdgpu_bl0/brightness <<< 1

Any anyone else encounter this issue with their iMac?

Do you still have this issue? If not I'd like to close this issue, as the bugzilla issue states that this problem has been fixed in Linux 4.16.
