Support (un)archiving apps

Open FineFindus opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Android 15 introduced a new feature that allows users to archive unused apps. Unfortunately, this feature requires support from app stores, so it does not work yet with Droid-ify. F-Droid recently added support for it.

Describe the solution you'd like Implement support for unarchiving apps.

Describe alternatives you've considered Implement it myself, though, since I'm unfamiliar with the codebase, that will likely take a long time.

Although I am not working on anything right now, sorry.

If you could point me towards how to install an application, I should be able to implement the rest.

Any update about this feature?

I've tried the latest F-Droid alpha build with app archive support, and damn, this is really nice.

Poor man's workaround: adb shell pm archive PACKAGE and then simply reinstall through Droid-ify when needed.

Is very poor workaround that only some can use, but we have to make do with what we have :)
