Export/import installed and previously installed app list! NOT THEIR DATA!

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I do not want backup apps's data!!! I factory reseted my phone and had to manually reinstall all hundreds of my apps. It horrible.

Describe the solution you'd like Like you did with settings and repos backup. Simply export my apps's list and ability to import back. Installed, previously installed and favorites apps if it is possible. I do not want backup apps's data because root.

Describe alternatives you've considered I did this and it is unmanageable: Take screenshots of installed apps and manually search for them one by one from screenshots and type in search and .... . This with hundreds of apps.

Nice enhancement. However, there are F-Droid apps for taking list (old ones), and hopefully working till date.

I tried like list my apps etc. Sadly these apps can't link to droid repos(which can open in Droidify or Fdroid) so at the end of the day you have to click and copy one by one hundreds of apps. That is why I asked for this feature.

However, there are F-Droid apps for taking list (old ones), and hopefully working till date.

@hetszunyukapanyanyimonyok: the one app i can recommend (which should still work and has awesome features) is MyAppList.

@DJCrashdummy Thanks for the suggestion, despite an old and abandoned app, it is really nice!! Sadly it is not compatible with Droidify and Fdroid and any repos only googlestore.

@hetszunyukapanyanyimonyok i have to disagree...! it only stores the app name and package id of selected apps (or automatically of all apps if "backup" is activated in the settings) no mater where they came from. as soon as you mark some not installed apps (on previous saved lists) you can either delete them from it or start installing them more or less in bulk. yes, a message in the app tells you, it will start "google play", but it uses your default app store! if you don't have one set, you can instantly choose between Play Store, Aurora Store, F-Droid, F-Droid Classic, Droid-ify etc. and even per app. -> that's the awesomeness of this app: it's not linked to any app store, APKs or the like!

if the app starts the Play Store on your phone, you either have to change/unset your default app store or it is a new android thing, that you can't choose a default app store anymore (which i doubt)... i've tested it successfully until Android 12 (never used something newer).

It would be pretty cool if the config file/script followed a standardized text format that would let you store configurations in text form (which would enable the possibility to paste this into a form in the app). The creation of the config file could simply be a text file with a certain file suffix ("file_name.suffix"). This would keep it simple yet flexible for different users and use-cases.

Why? Keeping track of a bunch of config files isn't necessarily that practical. I think most people can think of several ways of transferring text. But files on the other hand. Text can be sent via message, accessed from a home server, document or could be sent to a family member or friend to help them set up their devices (I'm doing that right now actually).

That is why I asked for this feature. I agree with the issue poster. My guess is that implementing such a feature is not a huge thing. They just have to reference a file (list of URLs/IDs) and the app would download the sources for you to (hopefully) batch-install.

Having yet another app to install as part of your installation process is not good. Having the functionality in the app would make it more likely that people would discover and use it. It would aid in the adoption of the open-source eco-system by making side-loading easier and less tedious. Especially in terms of convincing more people to try out third-party app stores in place of Play store.

More users is a good thing. More users also means potential donators and contributers.
