No option to restore backup from bookmarks

The settings have an option to back up to bookmark folders but no corresponding option to restore the bookmark backup. There are options to restore from file and indeed from several other services but no way to restore from bookmarks?

The extension wiped all my tab groups and I need to restore them from backup now. I have been using only the bookmark backups because the download option presents a disruptive download dialog every time it saves.

Expected behavior Every backup option needs to have a corresponding restore procedure or else it's not useful as a backup.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS and version: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Firefox version: 98.0
  • Simple Tab Groups version: 4.7.2.1

So, according to https://github.com/Drive4ik/simple-tab-groups/issues/291#issuecomment-468247865, this should be possible from the bookmark context menu - but I'm not seeing the "Import bookmark folder as new group" option. Maybe it's only available if there aren't any active groups already?
