Changing the arrangement in geometry/pc does has no effect.

I have tried doing the SYM mod manually, however it does not work. I changed order and few keys needed, and recursively included of the 105aw-sl model and the 104aw-zqu, however it does not have any effect. The changing was only done in geometry/pc not the symbols/colemak file, so for example the order of my last characters in the top row is <AD09>, <AC11>, <AE11>, { <RTRN>, ...

I do not use the script, but I did both a manual copy to /usr/share/X11... and the linking method used in one of the tickets xkbcomp -I...

The geometry component is used mostly for display purposes, such as when generating a layout help image. I suspect you wanted to change the keycodes component! Have a look in that folder too. At first, I too was wondering what geometry was for.
