Backpack contents disappear when updated from 1.20.1 to 1.21.1

Occurs in 2.8.0 and 2.8.1.

Title says just about everything. When updating our server, all of the backpack content is wiped.

We do have other mods, but I'm not sure how that would result in this issue in all honesty.

Same issue for me. Is there any way to get verbose log when converting player inventory ?
