I have a fresh install of polyglot, when I attempt to run it it crashes before even creating a window

Heyo! I can definitely give a hand here. What OS are you running on? Also are you using the Beta version of PolyGlot? If not, I recommend installing that, a it corrects quite a few bugs.

I’m on windows, I have tried both the beta and current version as well as the Linux version (which did work) I’m not at home this week and don’t have access to my laptop to give more information right now JacobOn 26 Oct 2023, at 8:30 am, Draque Thompson @.***> wrote: Heyo! When you tried to start up, did it give the message "Failure to start JVM"? I'm asking because I just got two other reports of this on Windows, and I'm wondering whether there's some update to the OS that's broken PolyGlot...

There is no error when running the executable, I get a spinny wheel for about .2 seconds and that’s it. However if I run PolyGlot.bat (in runtime/bin) it gives me the beta warning and then says it cannot access the ext Java runtime, then runs fine. I’ve tried fixing that by adding the JAVA_HOME environment variable (it was on PATH already). Looking at the bat though I don’t know the specific commands it seems to me to just start the jvm. So I’m not sure what else the exe could do to crash it.JacobOn 28 Oct 2023, at 10:11 pm, Draque Thompson @.***> wrote: When you tried to start up, did it give the message "Failure to start JVM"?
