I will look into this. It might have to do with Python 3 indeed as I have not noticed this behaviour with 2.7. I am currently working on this part...

We'll switch to Python3 with the next release.

Edit the Python script, set DEBUG=1 and start it from console. I am also working on a version optimized for this scenario (security in mind).

I'll keep that in mind. It's fairly easy to forward data received by iSpindle.py to other listeners. So, given a proper API I can include that pretty much right away.

Not sure about V2.1, but be aware it *might* break sleep mode.
