TextAreaBox: empty lines disappear when set readOnly to true

Entering a text into a TextAreaBox, carriage returns and empty lines will be shown.

Setting readOnly to true, the empty lines and carriage returns vanish:

Setting readOnly back to false, everything is fine again.
