ProductVersion: 11.3.1, ProductBuildVersion: 15E302, SupportedProductTypes: ['iPhone7,2', 'iPhone8,1'] Traceback (most recent call last): File "make_noerase_ipsw.py", line 156, in File "make_noerase_ipsw.py", line 141, in main File "make_noerase_ipsw.py", line 73, in make_upgrade_only KeyError: 'RestoreRamDisks'

Press Enter to exit.

I'm open to people submitting improvements but I haven't found any easy way to update this tool to support iOS 11 with the changes Apple made to BuildManifest.plist and Restore.plist. As y'all likely know I'm not the original author of the project and thus have relatively limited experience updating this tool, sadly.

There seems to be an added complication in the iPhone Plus models shipping with different chips now as well, which has been touched upon elsewhere.

@DomT4 Hi, it's really good to have you back.

@AppleSupport on twitter advised me to restore and said it is the best and the only way to fix my phone which makes me extremely disappointed. They don't care about customers' data at all.

My issue is:

The storage of my iPhone 6 was used up and the phone got hot, extremely slow and can't be charged. I took action to uninstall some apps and got back 3GB free storage but nothing had changed. So I shut it down and tried to restart. When I started it again it was stuck on the Apple logo and soon got a blue screen and then restarted again.

After that I try to update it under recovery mode by iTunes. But after updating from iOS8.4 to iOS11.4, it is trapped into an endless loop of the step "press home to upgrade". When I do as it says, it will show an Apple logo and progress bar. the progress bar can only walk nearly 80% (60% for the 2nd time, just a few pixels for 3rd the later times) and soon it restarts. Finally it shows "press home to upgrade" again.

I am trying to post a video or gif... loop_video.zip

As far as I know, iOS is installed on an independent partition of the internal storage. And since my phone works pretty well without jailbeak before updating(just used storage up and got back again), the system partition is pure. So there comes the question, what causes the endless loop?

Do you have any ideas to fix it without losing data?
