Poor performance when opening multiple subreddit/user pages

I'm using version 5.1.9 and noticed that if you open multiple subreddits/user pages at the same time, the app starts responding slow.

What I also notice was, that when I was running Android 11, the amount of subreddit/user pages I could open was significantly higher, than now when I upgraded to Android 12 (I'm talking about ~10 pages before, where as it now starts lagging with about 4 pages).

I've tried profiling the App with Android Studio, but couldn't find anything obvious (neither heap dump, nor call stack sampling).

What I've also tried was enabling android:largeHeap in the application manifest, as I suspected it to be related to heap size and garbage collection. It didn't change a thing, the app still feels sluggish after opening ~5 pages.

When the App starts feeling sluggish, it starts logging the following event:

I'm not an android developer, so I might have overlooked something!

The phone I'm using is a Samsung Galaxy S10+.
