Commit that fixes this issue, but you still need to re-enable Redgifs in 8.0.0.

@edgan Thank you. But unfortunately Redgifs sent me an email saying getting direct mp4 links from the API won't be available anymore so that's why I dropped support for redgifs videos.

... Why can't we have nice things. Dang it, I'm still gonna pay for the app, but man everyone is monetising their damn apis so that only the cool wall street cats can play 😾
@Docile-Alligator would it be possible to have the link to the source material be displayed to be oppened in an other app? I feel that might be a good middle ground for people who really want this feature.
@Rayvert64 @PottiMc I just found a way to bring the audio back. The fix will be released very soon. I just don't know how long it will work though.
@Docile-Alligator Thanks, it works again! Hopefully it will last some time :) Maybe redgif will provide the audio when a user is authorized to access their API?
Best, but a worse, alternative would be to provide a "button" or a direct link to redgif to see the video there with sound, like in the original reddit app.

Redgifs doesn't provide a direct MP4 link anymore but I will try adding a button for users to go directly to redgifs.

when I use the temporary token to get the gif data in Postman?
@Docile-Alligator need to make sure the user agent is the same between getting the oauth token and retrieving the video metadata.
Take a look at https://github.com/ReVanced/revanced-patches/pull/5725 for specifics, that PR implements the fix in a way that it can be easily patched into other reddit clients (including unsupported ones, hence the use of ReVanced) regardless of what user agent they were using before
@wchill Yes I was testing it on Postman and I am sure I used the same user agent.
Maybe throw the token you get back from redgifs into jwt.io to see if anything seems off
