Storing sheet materials
Somebody should/look into Has a space been allocated for members who want to store sheet material?
It would be good to have something more than just the plan drawers under Sophia. @magman2112 suggested there could room in the Recess in the main space down the side of the racking (assuming we're putting the racking in at the back of it). I guess that also ties into #686.
This evening @magman2112 suggested that we move the solvent cupboard along ~20cm, which would provide some room between the back of the cupboard and the side of the racking, then we could store sheet material there.
Sounds like a decent plan, and would let us organise things better than the current accumulation in the wood workshop
This is becoming more urgent, as it makes it difficult to get past the laser cutters for example. We also need to look into what a fair price might be for extra sheet storage, and how we would charge for it.
Around 6 months ago @helicalbytes asked me to clear part of one of the shelves by the toilets so a storage system could be put in place there. Some sheet material is now being stored there, but just in one big heap. It might be a good Hack the Space day issue to resolve the sheet material storage situation, either using this these shelves or another space.
