Battery graveyard overpopulated

I added some empty batteries to the battery graveyard today, had to unscrew the top and faff about. Where/how do we empty it please?

I think in the past it's been emptied in Lidl, assuming they've still got the battery recycling bin after the refurb.

I've emptied the battery graveyard into Lidl's battery graveyard graveyard, and have returned the empty graveyard to the kitchen where it belongs.
