2024 pricing review and related tasks

We recently posted on the blog about the fact that our costs have gone up, and we have a large expense coming up, and also maybe we should consider registering for VAT:

The discussion is generating some ideas for things that somebody should do so thought it would be a good idea to collect some of these ideas, they should be broken into their own tickets really but for now I thought I'd get them written down:

• [ ] Compare prices and features to nearby co-working (& workshop) spaces #1920
• [ ] Compare prices and features to nearby mailbox services
• [ ] Do some projections with different price points (and the current prices) to see how well they cover the costs.
• [ ] Do some marketing (I suppose it could be "prices going up in 3 months but lock in a low low price now!" type thing, but then that would suggest prices /weren't/ going up soon 🤔 "
• [ ] Run more courses
• [ ] Do a mailshot to let people know about the blog post (and Makefest, parties?)
• [ ] Coordinate with similar social enterprises, e.g. Liverpool Tool Library, Kittie's Launderette or with related businesses (Screwfix, etc.)
• [ ] Increase membership through advertising
