Consider deleting syntax definition file?

Open kortschak opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Sublime Text now bundles the GOX syntax definitions in ST3 (as of build 3181). This syntax definition do a god job of handling types and bracket-like blocks. Unfortunately the syntax definition in GoSublime/something_borrowed/Go/Go.sublime-syntax appears to prevent ST from defaulting to the new GOX defs. Could this file be removed (I can confirm that removing this file - without removing the collection in the syntax directory is enough to fix this problem)?

I don't really want to remove it because the ST Go package contains annoying things like snippets that can't be disabled and the work-around was to disable the Go package as a whole.

I've renamed the file, which hopefully fixes your issue without breaking anything.

I will eventually update the bundled files, but it looks like discussion is still ongoing so I'll wait until the next Sublime Text (non-dev) release.

Thanks. I can confirm that the rename fixes the issue.
