  • Are you using the latest driver?

    Yep

  • Are you using the latest EVDI version?

    Yep

  • If you are using a DisplayLink device, have you checked 'troubleshooting' on DisplayLink's website?

    Yep

  • Is this issue related to evdi/kernel?

    I think so.

  • Linux distribution and its version: Ubuntu 21.10
  • Linux kernel version: Linux t480 5.13.0-35-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Mon Mar 7 08:03:10 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
  • Xorg version (if used): Using wayland
  • Desktop environment in use: Default gnome

I have the same issue as this guy https://support.displaylink.com/forums/287786-displaylink-feature-suggestions/suggestions/42520348-fix-the-memory-leak-in-driver-5-3-1-for-ubuntu-20 When using my laptop docked, it uses like 10GiB on idle when docking my laptop for like half a day or something. So it's not practical to have to restart my laptop every work day. A fix for this issue will be highly appreciated.

Cheers, Aziz
