New DO term/split requests from FlyBase

Hi Lynn,

As suggested in email, I'm making this general ticket to link to a list of new/split terms required by FlyBase: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10QCbrpJcyIaOoZaJuEKQuleomcqTKbxSYlIJwgH-38U/edit#gid=0 (Note I’ve included recent individual tickets for completeness, marking them as DONE.)

There's currently ~100 requests on that sheet. Going forward, we will strive not to let our request list build up to this size and instead make individual tickets for each request - then other GitHub users will be able to see/search for tickets relating to these terms.

Hi, Looks like another 3-4 of the issues in the spreadsheet have been addressed in the current DO release, so I marked them as 'DONE' in the first column (using blue text so you can easily see these in case I'm wrong).

Do you have an estimate of when the rest might get looked at? (Appreciate there's lots to do...)

Hi Sue, Looking at the OMIM priority spreadsheet you linked: I see ~all the requested DO splits from the original FlyBase spreadsheet (linked at top of this ticket) on the 'split priority' tab, but seems ~35 of the FlyBase requested additions (many 'syndromes') are missing from the 'alignmentofOMIMadds' tab. Can I add these to this tab myself? Or would that mess with your system? I'm keen to have these added as it looks like it will bump up their priority by aligning with requests from MGI/RGD.

Looking back at the original FlyBase spreadsheet, I'm talking about rows 39-73. Looks like someone mis-classified these as 'add susceptibility terms' - but I think that only applies to 37-38 - so that might be the source of their omission?

I also have some more 'OMIM adds' to request. How should I deal with these? New ticket for each one? No ticket, but add them to your integrated table? Something else?

If you want to add them to the priority table that would be great! I'll be notified when you do and can see if this pushes them over the threshold to be in the highest priority set. Currently I've worked through the ones that all the groups asked for and am now working on the yellow set where all but one group asked for the addition.

OK, finished adding those additional OMIM requests from FlyBase to the alignmentofOMIMadds tab. I didn't add/change any of the yellow/magenta highlighting.

Hi Sue FYI - I just added some more requested DO splits to the 'flybase splits' tab of your integrated spreadsheet - highlighted in cyan. These should be added to the 'split priority tab' - didn't want to do that myself as I was worried about throwing rows out of alignment... Cheers, Steven.

Thanks Steven! I'm starting to work through the updates you made to the add priority list. The terms that were miss classified raised a bunch of those terms to the highest priority 'everybody wants this' set. I'll take a look at the new splits soon. Sue
