Administrative shares not working

Not sure if it's just me

After I ran the Win10-Initial-Setup-Script, I found the Administrative shares not working. Whenever I am connecting to the host Win10 from another Win10, and put in an Administrator username and password, the dialog always prompts me to type in the username and password again and again,, and it forbids me from accessing the default administrative share drive

I am 100% sure the username / password is correct, because I created a regular share side-by-side w/ the default administrative share, and that regular share works perfectly.

This is what I've done to fix the problem:

  • I forgot the default config for this script, but I reran the task "EnableAdminShares" from this script.
    • I even double checked the regedit to make sure it's the expected status after running ""EnableAdminShares"
  • I set the current network connection to "private network"
  • I turned off (and turned on ) password protected sharing
  • I turned on "filed and printer sharing" under the "private network" section

All the attempts above has failed. Sad.

Additionally, I found the "HomeGroup" switch missing from "Advanced sharing settings" -
