Alarm does not produce sound upon completion

Open sshstr opened this issue 3 years ago • 14 comments

Hi there!

I love your app, but for some reason the alarm still does not make a sound when the time is up. I see some people have had the same issue, but I am not sure if it has been fixed/whether a solution was given?

I have a PC Windows 10 - Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363

Thank you very much!!!

I was having a similar issue, make sure you don't have Do Not Disturb or Focus Mode on (or add OnePomodoro to your allowed apps in focus mode if you use it like I do, you know because I am trying to focus while using a pomodoro schedule). Hope this helps @sshstr

Thanks for the feedback. Is there any error message displayed?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. It sounds in the settings screen, but not in the timer screen. And there are no error message. I really like this app, so I'd really appreciate it if you could fix it.

Hi @DinoChan,

I am sorry to report that I experienced this bug today. Usually I don't have problem with the alarm sound. Anyway, here is my settings shown in the screenshot. I am on Windows 10. Any more info needed, please ask. If there is a new build I should try out, please let me know.

I have asked the same question in the past. I am happy to report that this problem has been resolved. Conclusion, it had to do with the Windows notification settings. I had all my notifications turned off when no sound came on. Now I have solved the problem by allowing notifications only for certain apps.

Hope this helps.

@fudgemun9 hmm... I didn't disable any notifications. May I ask where do you go and turn off notification? Is it somewhere in the Windows 10 settings?

billhung avatar Jul 26 '21 05:07 billhung

@billhung I see. Maybe the cause is different. To set up notifications, go to the Windows settings screen and search for notifications.

Here is a reference.
