set background is obtrusive

Using set background will break additional highlighting. Meaning that highlighting based on filetype remains in tact, but highlighting of such plugins as vim-bling and vim-css-color is broken. This is not a bug in vim-holylight, but I wanted to notify you. I've posted a bug-report to the vim-community.
