Feature request: Allow selecting posts when tapping beside them on iPads

It feels awkward to me that selecting the whitespace between the posts when viewing the timeline, mainly horizontally (but also vertically) that the area beside a post doesn’t ‘open’ the post (E.g select it) as tapping directly on it does. Even if not made into normal behaviour, having a toggle setting to allow this to be the case would be a great QoL improvement for the application.
