Hide reblogs of same post

Sometimes I'll see the same post show up multiple times in my timeline within a very short period. This is because the post has been reblogged by several accounts. It would be great if there was a limit on the number of times a given post can appear in your timeline over a given period. I don't want a complete "you saw this post once, it will never appear in your timeline again" thing, but it would be nice if a given post only showed up in my timeline once in an hour or so regardless of how many accounts have reblogged it.

I would hope that a Mastodon settings server side can do that but apparently it's only on their own web client :/

It's probably in their backlog. Prioritized somewhere between the middle of the nice-to-haves and "we'll get to this sometime before the heat death of the universe" :)
