Feature request: Toggle in settings for semi-automatic or full-automatic timeline-resume on app start

Open Apex-DE opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

make it optional to resume full automatic on app-start: when the app starts, the timeline is automatically resumed to the saved marker-position (toggle in settings to turn this on and off) - makes it easier to switch from one device to another and resume timeline browsing on another device (from iPhone to iPad or mac)

Planned. I need more data that the resume is working good before enabling that.

it's working fine here between macOS App and iOS and iPad App.

is the manual resume button working?

I'm seeing this problem: #1972 ("Bug: stored timeline position is not accurate")

And looking through other issues, I found someone else saying "when I tried [semi-automatic timeline sync] about a week ago, it didn't work for me": https://github.com/Dimillian/IceCubesApp/issues/1632#issuecomment-1891356004.

I'm still experiencing problems with syncing. See my comment.

If you advice how to get useful info about the problem — I'd love to help.

IDK, but maybe that is useful: IceCubes app is mostly always open... for a long time, like weeks.... So I do not quit it, it is kinda of permanently opened... Sometimes quitting it and reopening it helps to get sync works... But again... Sometimes...
