Video silent when ringer is silent

The sound of videos (and probably audio files) should be played even when the ringer switch is put on silent. This was possibly changed when the new media vieweer was introduced. I have it almost always on silent, but still want to hear videos or audio files.

I didn’t realize the ringer mute switch was the cause of the silent video problem until I came here to look for a bug report. I agree that the player should ignore the ringer mute state, and instead respond to the pllayers own mute control. That’s the standard approach in every other video player I encounter.
