Where is the set-up file? like exe. or msi. file

I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it, I could not find any installation files in the folders. Can anyone tell me how to install the File Meta Association Manager?

Go to the homepage and look for ‘1 release ‘ (between ‘1 branch’ and ‘1 contributor’). This will take you to the prepackaged binary.

This is a classic GitHub gotcha.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. Now I have a new question for you: after I added the extensions and restarted the explorer, I still couldn't edit the notes/system comment. There is a comment box, just can't edit. DO you know how to deal with it?

What extensions have you tried this with, and where are you looking edit the comment (in a column, in the details pane, or in the properties dialog)?

like .zip\png\pdf , in the properiies dialog

In the Properties dialog, you need to Select the Comments property, and then move your mouse over the value column, which should reveal an edit box.

I wanna share the pictures with you. I know what you mean, it's not work. I can note an office file which originally has this property. It's the file which tried file metadata that I can't comment on.

PDF files are the best of the ones you mention to use for checking it out. You might try a full system restart, if that’s not too inconvenient, to see if that sorts it out. Also, what version of Windows are you using, and are you 64 or 32-bit?

64 bit, win 10. I try the other computer to reconfirm the problem and then it works. I also restart the former one but couldn't manage it. THE former one I used is a working computer, I don't have the full access to all the files, I can only read and write. Would that be a reason?

It looks like Modify permission is needed to change file properties, so I think you may have solved the puzzle. You can test the restriction by trying to rename the original target file.

I'll try to find out the solution later. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!(#^.^#)
