Update: The reason why I wasn't receiving notifications wasn't related to this issue. I able to send notifications and receive the notification at my app but the HTTP error 500...

@AjinKuriakose no, no changes were made. It started working again suddenly. I'm sorry to hear that the issue still remains for you, I will leave the issue open then.
Update: The issue is back although notifications didn't stopped from being received, and I didn't change anything...
Back again here. Since a while ago the notification response was the right one again, but I forgot to mention here.
