Solaredge - connection problems

Hi,

since a few days, my Solarpanels reports the problem : Device Unavailable Error retrieving data (429)

Sometimes restarting the app helps, but since today the device gets available again, but with an old value.

Maybe you can have a look?

Can you try the local Envoy integration? It should be an option when you re-pair your inverter.

Could you help me with this? :) What is the local Envoy integration? The Solar Edge App is working fine and is getting actual data.

Sorry, I confused SolarEdge with Enphase.

Do you have other apps connected to your SolarEdge account (not the SolarEdge app itself)? Can you try regenerating API keys and re-pairing the device?

I have exactly the same issue. I need to restart the app to get data again but this happens several times a day. I don't know when it is started, I guess some weeks ago. Before that, no issues at all.

I have no other apps connected to my SolarEdge environment. Regenerating a new API key is not something I can do myself. Received during installation.

Could you send diagnostic reports? The app settings should give you an option to do that.

Thanks for the quick replies! I think I know what is going wrong here.

Could you update your app to the latest test version on https://homey.app/a/it.diederik.solar/test/? Just follow the link and install it from there.

I cannot guarantee that the upgrade will go smoothly, please let me know if any errors occur. If they do, remove your existing SolarEdge inverter from Homey and add it again through the pairing menu.

Also, disable temperature checks in the settings if you do not need that data, and set the interval to 20. With those settings, I'm pretty sure your problems should not occur anymore.

You are also very quick! I have installed the beta without issues, disabled temp and interval at 20. Now I have to monitor if all stays stable. Let you know after a view days. Already thanks.

@Olof007 keep in mind that it might still break today (your errors are caused by rate limits and those reset daily). If it breaks tomorrow, I'd like to know!

Stable so far. I run also the stable app version. I tried the exp.version but was not longer able to add my SolarEdge panal's (after deleting them).

That the stable version works doesn't surprise me, that is the old one. The experimental one should be working. Could you try again (I've made some updates). If it doesn't work, can you post the error you receive?

Just switched to the exp.version, deleted my device and add again. All without issues now. So, you are pushing the right buttons ;-) Will keep monitoring for the coming days if it stays stable.

Was it broken before deleting and re-adding? No, that was the strange thing. In the 'old' version it was also stable the last couple of days. I saw there was an update..

That's how it is intended to work, otherwise it is going to break for a lot of users once I make the experimental version stable.

I updated also to the test version, delete the device and reconnect it with a new API key. Still the same issue. I tried to set the interval to 20min, it say "saved" but when opening the details again its set to 15min again.

@Tequila329 Strange, seems to work fine for me. Do you press the checkmark at the top right of the screen after setting the interval?

Are you using other applications that are using your SolarEdge API key? If not, just wait a day and it should start (and keep) working, as you already might have experienced.

Beste Diederik,

Ik kwam jouw testversie tegen bij mijn zoektocht naar SDK3 compatibility en bemerk dat deze testversie werkt op de nieuwe HomeyPro 2023 icm SolarEdge. Zie jij kans om jouw testversie naar stable om te zetten? Of ontbreekt hier nog meer aan waardoor andere gebruikers er last van zouden hebben? In dat geval, kan ik helpen?
