getPagesCount return null

Estou tentando definir os itens de paginação porém recebo um erro ao tentar puxar getPagesCount().

✔️ Expected behavior

O esperado é retornar o número de páginas para que eu possa utilizar,

Apenas tentar abrir o menu.
